After almost 10 years working for a big insurance company in employee engagement, I've finally grown my side hustles enough to leave the security of my cushy 9-5. I'm terrified and excited!
So, what the heck is employee engagement? I'm glad you asked. I've been able to work as a new hire customer service trainer, an engagement coordinator (corporate event planning and photography), and as a recruiter. I have really loved helping develop employees and candidates as they build their careers, but man I am exhausted from trying to keep up with both- I'm ready to skip the 40 hour work week, and focus on Saturday Side Hustle.
I strongly believe in having multiple revenue streams, building my community, and using my skills for good, and not 'corporate' reasons. Stick it to the man and all that, right? (To be fair, my company was awesome and I am really sad to leave, but I don't love having to tell someone when I have a doctor's appointment, you know?) I'll keep you posted on how it goes, and I'll be sharing some of my adventures (and misadventures) here!
Thank you for your support, and I can't wait to see what happens next!
